There is a shortage of high school officials in almost every sport. Field Hockey in particular, has taken a hit this year because of COVID-19. Officials have either retired, moved out of NY or do not feel comfortable officiating because of the virus. This upcoming season some games will either be cancelled or postponed due to lack of officials.
Becoming a High School Field Hockey official is the easiest call you will ever make! Officials protect the integrity of the game girls love to play by demonstrating qualities like honesty, objectivity, consistency, courage and common sense. We have the opportunity to help teenagers learn life lessons that will benefit them for a lifetime.
